Launched: Rocket Web Labs

I redesigned the Rocket Web Labs site because the old version no longer reflected where things had grown. It was clunky, not responsive, and felt more like a portfolio gallery than a business site that clearly explained what I do.

The rebuild came with a few challenges — the preloader timing, the interactive grid system, and page transitions. The preloader especially took some trial and error to control when it runs. The grid was built as a repeater with hover scaling, which meant making sure everything stayed aligned and still worked behind buttons. The page transitions were new territory and required custom code since there wasn’t much to reference.

What I like most is the smoothness of it all coming together — being able to explore the site in a more intentional, visual way and actually feel what the studio does. There’s something satisfying about stepping back and knowing I built that experience.

RWL has also shifted in direction. It’s no longer just about building websites — it’s moving toward building systems, especially for real estate teams and brokerages that need more than just a site.
